They are built from stainless steel and brass rather than plastic, and they are designed to be serviced rather than replaced. The SGS35 swivel trigger gun is the piece most people notice immediately: the swivel stops the hose fighting you as you walk round the car, and a shorter gun is far easier to use on wheel arches, sills and lower panels than the long stock gun that came with your machine. The nozzle kit that comes with it covers the usual fan and rinse patterns.

It will with the correct adaptor, because MTM guns use the professional standard fittings rather than a manufacturer-specific connector. Karcher K-series machines need a Karcher bayonet adaptor at the hose end, Nilfisk needs a Nilfisk-specific adaptor, and Kranzle uses M22 14mm. It produces a wetter, longer-clinging foam than most cannons, which is the property that actually matters in a pre-wash, and the wide-mouth bottle is easier to fill and rinse. If your current cannon makes thick foam that slides off the panel within a minute, that is the failure the PF22.3 addresses. If you are happy with your foam and only want more volume, a cheaper cannon or a bigger bottle will do. It is a refinement, not a starting point.

It is a comfort upgrade rather than a cleaning one, and it is the kind you notice every wash. Without a swivel, the hose twists as you move round the car and eventually starts pulling the gun out of alignment in your hand, which is most annoying when you are crouched at the sills. A swivel lets the hose rotate independently. If you are already buying a short gun, choosing the swivel version costs little extra and removes a recurring irritation.
