Frequently asked questions

What is ADBL?
ADBL is a Polish manufacturer with a strong professional following, and the range spans a full detailing process: Shampoo Be Neutral and Be Acid, Yeti Pearl snow foam, Rinseless Shampoo, Vampire Elixir iron fallout remover, Wheel Warrior Gel, Tar Remover Thixotropic, Ceramic Sealant and Ceramic QD, Wet Coat, Synthetic Spray Wax, interior and upholstery cleaners, and pad and microfibre cleaners. It is best known in the UK for its PPF and vinyl installation products.
What are the ADBL PPF products for?
They are for installing paint protection film rather than maintaining it. PRO Slip is the installation fluid that lets film be positioned before it tacks down, PPF Gel is the gel version for the same job, and Surface Cleaner is the pre-film degreaser used to get the panel chemically clean so the adhesive bonds. If you are fitting film rather than having it fitted, these are the consumables the job actually needs.
What is the difference between Shampoo Be Neutral and Be Acid?
Be Neutral is the pH-neutral maintenance shampoo, so it cleans without stripping the wax, sealant or coating already on the paint, and it is the one to use for routine washes. Be Acid is an acidic maintenance shampoo, used to help clear water spotting and mineral deposits and to refresh water behaviour on a coated car. Acidic shampoos are occasional-use products, not weekly ones, and should not be left to dry on the surface.
Why does ADBL sell separate pad and microfibre cleaners?
Because both are consumables that fail early if cleaned badly. Micro Wash Storm is a microfibre detergent, which matters because household detergents and fabric softeners coat the fibres and destroy absorbency, ruining a good drying towel in a single wash. Pad Cleaner is for polishing pads, where dried compound stops the pad cutting and starts causing hazing. Cleaning both properly is far cheaper than replacing them.
