Touch-Less is completely free-rinsing: it washes off cleanly and leaves no surfactant residue, making it the better choice if you plan to skip the contact wash or use a rinseless method. Auto-Foam leaves a white cationic film after rinsing that requires a contact wash pass to remove. Auto-Foam also runs at a higher pH (approximately 12) compared to Touch-Less (approximately 10.5), so on ceramic-coated cars where total alkaline exposure matters, Touch-Less is the lower-impact option.

Bilt Hamber Auto-Clay is unusual in using plain water as its sole lubricant. Most clay bars require a dedicated clay spray. Divide the 200 g bar into palm-sized pieces, spray a section with water, and glide the clay with very light fingertip pressure. One 200 g bar treats a standard car four to five times. Cold weather makes harder grades stiffer, so choose the Soft or Medium grade in winter and Regular in summer.

Surfex HD is an alkaline all-purpose cleaner that covers most wash tasks at a single concentration range. As a pre-wash use 1 to 2%, as a contact wash around 30 to 40 ml in 10 to 15 litres of water, as a wheel cleaner 5 to 10%, for engine bays up to 10%, soft-top roofs around 3%, and for interior surfaces such as seats, dashboards and leather use 0.5 to 2%. Mix with deionised or filtered water where possible, as Surfex HD can calcify in hard tap water and block sprayer nozzles.

Wheels must be cool and dry before application. Spray liberally over the entire wheel surface including the inner barrel. For plastic centre caps, spray outward from the centre rather than saturating the cap directly. Dwell one to five minutes and watch for the clear-to-red colour change as the product reacts with iron particles. Agitate with a soft brush on heavily soiled wheels, then rinse thoroughly. Auto-Wheel is an iron-particle decontamination product, not a routine shampoo. Use it every few months or when brake-dust buildup is visible.
