Which Karcher models do these replacement hoses fit?
They fit the domestic K-series, K2 through to K7, which use a bayonet clip at the machine end rather than a screw thread. The gun end is the standard Karcher connection, so your existing trigger gun, lance and any Karcher-fit foam cannon all carry over. If you are running a professional HD or HDS machine rather than a K-series, that uses an M22 threaded outlet instead, so ask us and we will point you to the right hose.
Why replace the hose that came with my Karcher?
Two reasons: length and stiffness. Several K-series machines ship with roughly 6m of hose, which is short enough that you end up dragging the washer around the car mid-wash, and the standard hose holds a tight coil memory that makes it stiff and awkward around wheels and lower panels. A reinforced rubber FLEXI hose in 10m or 15m stays flexible, does not kink, and removes most of the faff from a normal wash.
What length should I choose for a Karcher K-series?
Ten metres suits most driveways and is a clear upgrade on a 6m stock hose. Fifteen metres is the better pick if you want to park the machine at the tap and walk the full way round a larger car or an estate without repositioning it. We stock 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m and 30m in the reinforced FLEXI hose. Extra length will not cost you cleaning performance at these distances, so choose on convenience.
Will a longer hose still work with my foam lance and nozzles?
Yes. Your foam lance connects at the gun, not at the hose, so changing the hose does not affect it. Karcher K-series guns use a bayonet fitting on the lance side, which is why a Karcher-fit foam cannon and a Karcher bayonet adaptor are what you need there. If you also want to run third-party quick-release nozzles or a stubby gun, add an M22 to 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch adaptor and the whole setup becomes interchangeable.
Is there a bundle that upgrades the hose, gun and lance together?
Yes. The Karcher K-series upgrade bundles pair a reinforced FLEXI hose in your chosen length with a short trigger gun and a foam lance, which is the combination most people end up buying separately anyway. The short gun is the part that makes wheel arches, sills and lower panels comfortable to reach, and the foam lance replaces the built-in detergent function, which produces thin foam on most domestic machines even with a good snow foam in it.
