Cartec numbers its compounds by the finish they leave, so the range runs from the aggressive Diamond Cut 3000 for refinish and extreme cutting up to Ultra Finish 12000 for high gloss. Rapid Cut 4000 and Compound 5000 sit in the middle for fast cutting.

Final Cut 9000 is the one step option that corrects and finishes together. The pads carry the same numbering, so a green pad with Diamond Cut 3000 and a yellow pad with the 5000 keeps the process consistent.
