Menzerna numbers its compounds so the range reads as a ladder. The 300 and 400 heavy cuts remove deep defects and sanding marks, 1000 is the heavy cut step below them, the 2200 to 2500 medium cuts take out swirls, and 3000, 3500 and 3800 refine to a high gloss finish.
