Maintained with pH-neutral washes and a ceramic detailer topper, a coating holds up; washed with alkaline decon shampoo, it will not.

Yes, because they do different jobs. Heavy Metal dissolves bonded iron particles from brake dust and rail dust that a shampoo cannot lift, which is chemical decontamination. Lack of Sin is a panel wipe that removes oils, polishing residue and any remaining film so the coating can bond to bare clear coat. Skipping the iron remover leaves contamination under the coating; skipping the panel wipe stops the coating bonding properly at all.
