Rupes LL200 Swirl Finder Pen Light

A pen-sized inspection light that makes swirls, sanding marks and pigtails visible on paint that hides them. The Rupes LL200 runs a 240 lumen LED at 4000K, the colour temperature Rupes settled on for reading defects across the widest range of colours and finishes.

The optic is the point. A wider luminous flux and a greater curvature than the previous model reflect light off the surface more cleanly, so defects show up on colours that used to be difficult. The focus adjustment narrows or widens the beam to suit the area you are inspecting, from a spot check to a whole wing.

It is built to live in a pocket. The rechargeable Li-Ion cell gives five hours at full intensity from a two and a half hour charge over USB, the increased barrel diameter gives a steadier grip, and the rigid housing takes workshop abuse. Supplied with a protective storage case, wrist lanyard and USB cable.
