Sonax Profiline CeramicCoating CC One is a single step ceramic coating that protects paintwork for up to 3 years from one application. It uses Sonax Si-Carbon technology to give the paint an intense depth of colour and a soft, dirt repellent surface, and it beads water tightly so dirt struggles to bond and the car washes far more easily. Sonax built it to be forgiving: it goes on in one step with a 3 to 5 minute flash off window, and they recommend it specifically for anyone applying a ceramic coating for the first time. The set contains a 40ml bottle, two coating applicators and the instructions, and covers one to two medium sized cars.

How to use

  • Wash, decontaminate and polish the paintwork until it is free of scratches and holograms. Work above 10 degrees C, ideally 20 to 30 degrees C, and never on hot panels.
  • Wipe every panel with Sonax Profiline Prepare on a clean microfibre cloth so the surface is free of polishing oils.
  • Put a few drops onto the light side of an application sponge and spread the coating in thin crosswise passes over about half a square metre, roughly a quarter of a bonnet.
  • Leave it to flash off for 3 to 5 minutes, then buff the excess away with a Sonax Coating Towel (04511000) until the panel is smooth and streak free. Repeat section by section.
  • Allow at least 4 hours to cure in a clean, dry environment without touching or wetting the surfaces.

Please note: do not wash the vehicle for the first 7 days after treatment so the coating can fully harden. The coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in, so the preparation is where the result is won.
